June 17, 2017: these BipCoin pools are gone:

http://notepool.pw/bip/

use

http://democats.org/pool/?name=bipcoin

instead. It’s solid.

How to mine BipCoin with mining pools: https://bipcoin.org/?p=1162

UPDATED LIST OF BipCoin POOLS:
http://democats.org/pool/?name=bipcoin
http://bip.cryptonotepool.com/
http://bip.mypool.name/

https://bip.poolto.be/

(THE FIRST 4 LISTED HAVE PORTS FOR NICEHASH.)

These pools have all stayed in consensus for some time, have great uptime, and currently have miners or have recently have had miners.
They will remain as long as they keep working (and the poolmasters don’t make more work for us. Some other poolmasters have in the past. lol.)
We will add more pools as the come up, after we watch them and try them for a while to make sure they have no problems.

( http://bip.cryptonotepool.com/ has also been shown before as http://5.189.135.137 and that also still works.)

There are no other pools we currently recommend. IF YOU START A BipCoin POOL AND WANT US TO CHECK IT OUT AND CONSIDER LISTING HERE, PLEASE CONTACT US.

For solo mining instructions, go to the Download & How To page. (Though you’re not going to be able to get many bips mining solo at this point.)

Just got a block. This is excellent. Probably how it felt when Bitcoin launched.

Any way to mine these on a Win-32 machine? I can get the GUI wallet working on it, but not the normal software.

Nope. GUI wallet may in the future support mining, but does not now.

That way more than one person can help and more than one person will see the answer, so we don’t have to type the same things over and over.

Also, keep in mind that it’s Christmas, so it may take a few days to get an answer.

so I am just joined the BIP train and I’m on democats…. I’m getting a hash rate of around 400H/s (not sure if that is good or bad??)

I have been running my setup for about 2 days now but it seems I have not yet received any coins, even though a few blocks have been found during the time. Are there problems with democats?

I’m new to BIP and I think it has potential.

    Thanks

400 is fine when the network is running normally, however there was some high hash power that drove the difficulty up to 48M. On Democats, you can see when pool blocks have enough confirmations (60 I believe); currently it is over 2 days since the last block reward has been paid. You’ll get a portion soon when a few more blocks are found. Also, the difficulty should start dropping back down soon.

With 60 confirmations I understand it will take a while for block rewards to be paid out. I didn’t know about the confirmations. As long as the pool is working fine it’s all good with me. Thanks.
